NEW SOUNDS is an educational and transformative project of Rombos Sound Studio that offers face-to-face electronic music production courses for cis and trans women. Taught by expert women and with an inclusive, practical and creative approach, it seeks to break gender barriers in technological music and empower new generations of female sound creators in Costa Rica.

Description:
After recording Costa Rican pre-Columbian instruments at the Gold Museum, Rombos Sound Studio, under the direction of Charly Fariseo, carried out a meticulous post-production to transform these sounds into digital instruments usable in modern musical environments. This process not only preserved the ancient texture of the objects, but it reimagined them as living creative tools. The result was a bank of virtual instruments that connect the indigenous past with the technological present, offering a platform for intercultural and intertemporal artistic creation.
